In a bit of Chicago Blackhawks news this evening, the club announced that it has come to terms with their 2021 first-round draft pick, defenseman Nolan Allan, on a three-year entry-level contract.

Allan, 18, was taken with the 32nd pick in this past July’s NHL Draft and will be with the Blackhawks organization through the 2023-24 season with an $870,000 salary cap hit.
Allan recently helped Canada’s U18 World Junior’s team win a championship, recording a goal and an assist in seven games. Allan totaled a pair of points (one goal, one assist) in 16 regular-season games with the WHL’s Prince Albert Raiders during the 2020-21 season and tallied two goals and six assists in 58 games with the Raiders during the 2019-20 campaign.
You can watch Nolan this weekend at the Tom Kurvers Prospect Showcase in St.Paul, Minnesota. Viewing information can be found in my post from Wednesday morning, but be sure to check out Mario’s prospects to watch for this weekend’s action.
