How do you follow-up the fanfare of the opening of training camp? With COVID protocols on day two.
The Chicago Blackhawks announced on Friday morning, prior to practice on day two of training camp, that goaltender Kevin Lankinen and forward Mike Hardman would be unavailable to practice and placed in COVID protocols.

Both took part in practice on day one on Thursday.
COVID-related absences can be due to a number of measures including: a positive test which remains unconfirmed, mandated isolation for symptomatic individuals, required quarantine as a high-risk close contact, isolation for a confirmed test and/or quarantine for travel.
The team announced ahead of the opening of training camp on Thursday the club reached a 100% vaccination rate against COVID-19 coming into the season.
