There are few teams we detest as much as the St. Louis Blues. This is going to be an interesting year for the Blues, who the analysts really don’t like and they have two huge pending free agents at the end of the year: Ryan O’Reilly and Vladimir Tarasenko. If things go south, the trade market for those two (who both have a $7.5M cap hit) could impact any market that might develop for the top center and wing the Blackhawks might have available.

Their blue line suffered a loss when the Blues announced Marco Scandella will miss at least six months.
One of the guys who might have stepped into the role left open by Scandella’s injury was Scott Perunovich. Yeah, that isn’t going to happen; he’s going to miss six months, too.
