Pre-Gamin’: Blackhawks at Ducks (9:00 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread, More

The Blackhawks head into Anaheim this evening to face a Ducks team that… well, sucks. The Ducks are awful. They are one of three teams — with the Blues and Blue Jackets — to still have only single digit points in the standings on Nov. 12. In the Bad 4 Bedard Circle of Trust, they have a chair at the table.

But while their stats and record indicate they’re a terrible team, there’s still talent there. Trevor Zegras, someone many Blackhawks fans wish was wearing the road sweater tonight, has become known as one of the artists who can pull off “The Michigan” in the NHL. We’ll see if he tries it tonight against the Hawks.

    What to Watch For

  • After losing the majority of their faceoffs against the Kings one week prior, the Blackhawks bounced back with a dominant performance at the dot on Thursday. Chicago comes into this game ranked No. 1 in the NHL in faceoff percentage (57.9). Anaheim ranks 24th in the league at the dot (47.3).
  • It might be a good night to bet the under. The Ducks rank 27th in the league in goals per game (2.71) while the Blackhawks check in two spots lower in 29th (2.69). However, Anaheim is allowing 4.57 goals per game — dead last in the entire NHL. The Blackhawks rank 16th in goals against per game (3.08).
  • The Ducks have the worst goal differential (minus-25) in the entire NHL.
  • The Ducks rank 31st in the league on the power play (10.3%). The Blackhawks ranks 27th in the NHL on the penalty kill (73.6%).
  • The Blackhawks rank 10th in the NHL on the power play (24.4%). The Ducks rank 31st in the NHL on the penalty kill (63.6%).
  • Get Caught Up
