Pre-Gamin’: Blackhawks at Blues (7:00 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread, More
The St. Louis Blues are banged up and not playing well at all. The Blues have lost their last three and are a mediocre 6-7-2 on their home ice in a city that Scott Darling correctly tabbed as a less than ideal place. They’re going to be without one of their key defensemen tonight; Torey Krug went on LTIR.
Meanwhile, the Blackhawks are… the Blackhawks. But hey, they haven’t lost three in a row currently so we’ve got that going for us, which is nice.

What to Watch For
- Two of the big-ticket, big-name centers who might be on the trade market between now and the trade deadline will go at it again tonight. Ryan O’Reilly is having an incredibly frustrating season (he’s minus-26) but has a similar profile to Jonathan Toews for teams who might consider taking on a big cap hit to fix a center need.
- The Blackhawks have scored 19 goals in 11 games in December (which is awful). It’s worse when you consider Max Domi and Taylor Raddysh have scored four goals each; that means Blackhawks other than Domi and Raddysh have scored 11 goals in 11 games. Oh, and five of those other 11 goals have come from Toews (three) and Patrick Kane (two).
- Jordan Kyrou has been hot for the Blues in December. He’s scored eight goals with seven assists for 15 points in 10 games this month. He had two points against the Blackhawks back on Nov. 16 when the Blues beat the Hawks 5-2.
