Seth Jones Finishes Last in NHL’s Hardest Shot Competition

Chicago Blackhawks

On Friday night, Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones represented the organization in the NHL All-Star Skills Challenge.

We first saw Seth on the ice — in the Blackhawks’ Reverse Retro jersey, which was… something… — in the Tendy Tandem Competition.

That was a team competition where Seth shot on the Pacific Division goalies. On his shootout attempt against Logan Thompson (which is around 5:20 into the video above), he made it pretty clear why he isn’t likely to be called upon if the Blackhawks have a shootout this season (read: not a great attempt). Make sure you watch all the way to the end of the video, however. Sarah Nurse pulled out “The Forsberg” and scored on Rangers’ netminder Igor Shesterkin .

Later in the night, he took part in the Hardest Shot Competition. The better of his two shots was good enough to finish… last.

Unfortunately, the Blackhawks finishing last in that competition doesn’t improve their lottery odds.

Here’s some of Seth’s media availability from before the festivities kicked into high gear all over Florida tonight.
