Well this one could get interesting. News from the morning skate in Florida earlier today is that Connor Murphy is dealing with a personal matter in Chicago so Filip Roos is taking his spot on the blue line and Alex Stalock is dealing with a non-COVID illness so there’s a question mark regarding who the Blackhawks’ second goaltender will be for tonight’s game (oh, and they play in Tampa tomorrow night, too, by the way). So stay tuned for possible recalls and other stuff this weekend (Roos was recalled yesterday). UPDATE: We’re officially on EBUG watch, kids!

Injury Report
Chicago Blackhawks
Jonathan Toews and Reese Johnson are on IR. Andreas Englund (hammy) and Colin Blackwell are out (groin). Though not designated as an injury, Murphy is also out tonight.
Florida Panthers
Patric Hörnqvist is on IR. Spencer Knight is in the players assistance program.
What to Watch For
- What happens if the Blackhawks need to replace Mrazek? Ottawa gave up five goals in Chicago largely because they didn’t have a backup other than EBUG Scott Foster. Are the Blackhawks potentially in the same situation tonight?
- Roos draws back into the lineup, so we’ll see how they sort out the pairs during the game and what the special teams impact is. Nikita Zaitsev has been pretty bad to start his Blackhawks career, so it would be nice if he could right the ship a little with no Murphy tonight.
