On Monday morning, the NHL announced the three finalists for the Vezina Trophy: Winnipeg’s Connor Hellebuyck, Florida’s Sergei Bobrovsky and Vancouver’s Thatcher Demko. The Chicago Blackhawks did their part in helping two of the three finalists earn their invite to the awards show in June.
Hellebuyck was 37-19-4, 2.39 goals-against average, .921 save percentage with five shutouts and won the Jennings Trophy. He went 2-0-1 with a .938 save percentage and 1.65 goals against average in three appearances against the Blackhawks.
Demko was 35-14-2, 2.45 goals-against average, .918 save percentage with five shutouts. He went 3-0-0 with a .940 save percentage and 1.68 goals against average in three appearances against the Blackhawks.
Bobrovsky was 36-17-4, 2.37 goals-against average, .915 save percentage with six shutouts.
