Happy International Friendship Day!
What’s that? You didn’t know that was today!? You must be a crappy friend (I definitely did not just find out because a couple of hashtags on Twitter).
I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate this totally real and highly-celebrated holiday than looking back at best friends Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose. Drafted one year apart, these two worked together to give the Bulls their best shot at a title since the Michael Jordan era. The team made the playoffs seven seasons in a row, including an Eastern Conference Finals visit in 2011. Unfortunately, with the injuries to Rose and an unstoppable Miami Heat team in the mix, these two were never quite able to make it over the hump. However, their time together in Chicago created quite the unbreakable bond, so while they may not have a ring on their finger, they arguably have something even more valuable – friendship [audience lets out a collective “awwwww”].
Take a trip down memory lane:
I don’t think people realize how insane this assist from Derrick Rose to Joakim Noah is, ridiculous athleticism pic.twitter.com/tMAnziWC6v

Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah were way more than just teammates.
