WHAT IS HAPPENING? MY HEART IS POUNDING! I’M SWEATING! SOMEONE TURN OFF CAPS LOCK FOR ME! Thank you.
Holy wow. The NBA just took a couple of shots, screamed YOLO, and ran straight out the door. James Harden has been traded to Brooklyn in a blockbuster deal that will give the Nets arguably the most stacked team in the NBA. The former-MVP will join another former-MVP in Kevin Durant, as well as six-time All-Star Kyrie Irving.
In return, Houston will receive a massive package of first-round draft pick and pick swaps, along with Caris LeVert and Rodions Kurucs … but the deal doesn’t stop there.
The Cavaliers jumped into the mix and were able to snag up-and-coming Brooklyn center Jarrett Allen as well as 26-year-old forward Taurean Prince in return for Dante Exum and Milwaukee’s unprotected 2022 first-round pick, both assets will also head to Houston … but the deal doesn’t stop there.
The Rockets will then flip Caris LeVert to the Indiana Pacers along with a 2nd-round pick in exchange for All-Star Victor Oladipo. I know, it’s a lot. Like, a lot a lot.
Sources: Full current trade:
Rockets: Victor Oladipo, Dante Exum, Rodions Kurucs, 3 BKN first-rounders (22, 24, 26), 1 MIL first (22, unprotected), 4 BKN 1st round swaps (21, 23, 25, 27)
Nets: James Harden
Pacers: Caris LeVert, 2nd-rounder
Cavs: Jarrett Allen, Taurean Prince

This is easily one of the biggest mid-season shake-ups we’ve seen in the NBA in quite some time, and it’s going to take some time to process everything that is going on. All we can say right now is that James Harden got his wish, the Brooklyn Nets are absolutely stacked … and the entire Eastern Conference is terrified of how good the Bulls are becoming! Gotta love NBA craziness!
