What to Watch For …
• The New York Knicks allow the 4th-fewest points in the paint and rank 4th in defensive rating … but that hasn’t slowed down Nikola Vucevic. The All-Star has already played New York three times this season as a member of the Orlando Magic, and he’s averaged 19 points and 15 rebounds per game. One of the matchup’s his Magic team won by 18 points and another they lost by just a score of 94-93. The big man came up huge in the Bulls win against Miami’s Bam Adebayo on Monday with 24 points behind four 3-pointers, so let’s hope that strong performance plus his prior experience against the Knicks team can help keep the Bulls competitive tonight.
• Daniel Theis has one of the best games of his career against the Heat with 23 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks. There is no question the Bulls will need a similarly motivated effort on both ends of the floor tonight for them to walk out of MSG with a W.
• New York saw their nine-game winning streak end on Monday night against the Phoenix Suns, so they’ll be hungry to get back on track. Look for Julius Randle, who has scored at least 30 points in six of the team’s last eight games, to fight for a big bounce-back night.
