What to Watch For …
• The Milwaukee Bucks will be without Giannis Antetokounmpo tonight after the 2x MVP hurt his ankle at the beginning of last night’s game. However, it’s hard to believe that changes much for the Bulls. With the backcourt duo of Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton still on the floor, tonight will be a massive uphill battle. Middleton is coming off a 33-point performance where he found his way to the free-throw line 10 times. Meanwhile, Holiday has dished 10 or more assists in two of the last three games for Milwaukee. It’s hard to imagine the Bulls’ perimeter defense can do much to slow him down.
• If the Bulls do have one thing going for them … it’s Nikola Vucevic. Without the reigning defensive player of the year in the mix, Vucevic could have another strong night ahead of him. He has averaged 23.3 points with 14.4 rebounds over the last four games on a smooth 55.9 percent shooting clip from the field.
• Filling in for the Greek Freak will be former-Bull Bobby Portis (you know, the guy with a mean left hook). The big man has been tremendous off the bench this season for Milwaukee, shooting 52.5 percent from the field and hauling in 7.0 rebounds per game.
• One area the Bulls might actually be able to exploit against this 7th-ranked Bucks defense is the 3-point line. The Bucks have given up the 6th-highest opponent 3-point percentage this season at 37.6 percent.
• I miss Zach LaVine.
