Preseason Pre-Gamin’: Bulls vs. Cavaliers (7:00 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Bulls basketball is back!

I REPEAT: BULLS BASKETBALL IS BACK!!!!

The Cleveland Cavaliers are in town for the preseason lid-lifter for the Chicago Bulls tonight. While we won’t get a total dose of the new-look Bulls with a handful of guys banged up, this will surely be a pleasant taste and a welcomed return of hoops.

Game Info

Chicago Bulls vs. Cleveland Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. CT on NBC Sports Chicago (TV) and 670 The Score (Radio)

Projected Starters

Chicago Bulls

  1. Lonzo Ball
  2. Alex Caruso
  3. Zach LaVine
  4. DeMar DeRozan
  5. Nikola Vucevic

Inactive: Patrick Williams (ankle), Coby White (shoulder) Derrick Jones Jr. (ankle), Tony Bradley (back), Marko Simonovic (thumb)

Cleveland Cavaliers

  1. Darius Garland
  2. Collin Sexton
  3. Isaac Okoro
  4. Evan Mobley
  5. Jarrett Allen

Inactive: Tacko Fall

Things to Know:

•   So it appears the Chicago Bulls will have one true center available tonight: Nikola Vucevic. Both Tony Bradley and Marko Simonovic are expected to sit with *minor* injuries, which will leave a massive hole in the middle against a Cavaliers team plentiful with big men. Does that concern me? Absolutely, but I guess I should just remind myself that it’s a preseason game and the Bulls getting dunked on by Jarrett Allen 10 times does not matter.

•   Also, just seeing Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan in a Bulls jersey for the first time should make any pain go away.

•   With so many players sidelined tonight, it’s going to be hard to read too much into how head coach Billy Donovan runs his rotations. The more important thing to watch will be how comfortable this starting unit looks. While I expect some bumpy possessions, it will simply be encouraging if everything flows right off the bat.

•   I would not mind if Zach LaVine absolutely posterized Lauri Markkanen and Denzel Valentine at the same time.
