What to Watch For …
• The Bulls ring in the New Year riding the wave of a season-high six-game win streak and sitting tied with Brooklyn for the best record (23-10) in the East. This is the first time the Bulls have been 13 games over .500 since March 21, 2015, when the team was 42-29.
• Bradley Beal is averaging 23.5 PPG on 46.0% shooting from the field this season for the Washington Wizards. After a big win in Indiana about 24 hours ago the Bulls are susceptible to a trap game on New Year’s Day to the sneaky good Wizards. Let’s hope Bradley Beal doesn’t have a strong game!
• DeMar DeRozan comes into tonight’s contest having scored at least 20-points in 11 straight outings (25 overall), his best streak on the season, and the third-longest active streak in the NBA (Trae Young–15, Donovan Mitchell–14).
