Danilo Gallinari’s Injury, Jalen Rose’s GOAT Thoughts, Horace’s Rings, and Other Bulls Bullets

Chicago Bulls

I’d 100 percent drop my ice cream cone if I ran into Candace Parker.

The Chicago Sky begin their semi-finals matchup against the Connecticut Sky tonight at 7:00 p.m. CT!

  • When Danilo Gallinari chose to take less money and sign with the Celtics over the Bulls this summer, it felt like a pretty big bummer. Not only could Gallinari provide more depth at a position of need, but he would have given a roster starving for 3-point shooters one of the more reliable downtown threats in the league. And while that still feels like a potentially missed opportunity, the Bulls may have actually gotten a bit lucky.
  • During his most recent performance for Italy in the FIBA World Cup Qualifiers, Gallinari had to leave the game with a knee injury. The good news is that the problem isn’t as severe as initially thought, however, the veteran forward still suffered a meniscus tear.
  • Again, while this isn’t to say that Gallinari wouldn’t have made a solid fit on this Bulls’ team, we all know this roster doesn’t need any more injury trouble to start the season. I wish him a very speedy recovery!
  • If we’re being honest, Joakim Noah is still pretty underrated.
  • The Bulls’ legend was such a special talent. His defensive intensity was unlike anyone else’s in the league, and his offensive playmaking became a vital part of what the Bulls tried to do on that end of the floor. For someone who could be as limited scoring the basketball as Noah at times, he impacted the game in a miraculous way. He’s just one of those guys you will never forget watching.
  • Jalen Rose is out here speaking facts! The long-time NBA guard and current ESPN personality gave his thoughts on why Michael Jordan continues to stand above the rest.
  • Two stats that I find incredibly important in the MJ-LeBron (non)debate: Jordan has 10 scoring titles to James’ one, and he also has nine All-NBA Defensive First Team appearances to James’ five. And let’s remember Jordan left that kind of dominant two-way resume while having played four fewer seasons (and counting).
  • After watching this, I’m pretty sure Kawhi Leonard would have given MJ’s Space Jam dunk a hard 8.
  • Speaking of dunks, JUSUF NURKIC THAT MAN HAS A FAMILY!
  • Dang it, my bid was just $296,990 off!
  • Tired: Undefeated Bears in the preseason. Wired: Undefeated Bears in the regular season.
  • Wins?
