As part of the first annual Bulls Fest this weekend, fans got to spend some quality time with one of the Chicago Bulls’ newest roster members.
Before rookie Dalen Terry held his meet and greet, the No. 18 overall pick welcomed kids into the Advocate Center for his own basketball clinic. Not only did Terry lead the future NBA hoopers through drills and exercises, but he even matched up with some on-on-one. And I think it’s fair to say the competitive spirit he’s long been praised for was on full display.
In a video shared by the Chicago Bulls’ social media team, Terry can be seen stuffing four kids into another dimension before he asks a very important rhetorical question: “Do you think Zach LaVine lets me score?”
Shortly after he decided to play nice, but not without teaching those in attendance a very important lesson: “Hey, I’ll tell y’all a secret,” Terry said to those on the sideline. “If y’all cheer for your teammates, they might score on me.”
While Terry hasn’t stepped foot into an NBA game just yet, that moment feels like it says a lot about the player the Chicago Bulls drafted a few months ago. Someone who prides himself on being the quintessential teammate, it’s this ability to constantly keep the energy high that helped push him further up draft boards.
Anyway, the whole video is an absolute treat, so make sure to give it a quick watch below!
