Despite digging themselves an early hole against the Houston Rockets on Monday night, the Chicago Bulls walked into halftime with a 65-64. And they have Zach LaVine to thank for that.
The Chicago Bulls’ max player had 8 of his 11 first-half points in the final 46.1 seconds of the first half. He first converted an insane alley-oop dunk off the Coby White steal before nailing a big three to give the Bulls a 62-61 lead.

The Rockets briefly stole back the lead with their own shot from downtown, but LaVine was able to quickly position himself for another downtown heave. After shot-faking to get Kevin Porter Jr. off his feet, LaVine sank the big shot at the buzzer.
You love to see it! This puts an exclamation point on LaVine’s recent bounceback. The Bulls’ max player has significantly improved his shotmaking after a slow start to the year, and it’s a big reason why the team is in a position to grab their fourth-straight win.
