The NBA has officially revealed the starters for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game.
Announced live on TNT before tonight’s Knicks-Celtics game, the following players were chosen to represent the East and West.
Eastern Conference All-Star Starters
Giannis Antetokounmpo (Captain)
Kyrie Irving
Donovan Mitchell
Jayson Tatum
Kevin Durant
Western Conference All-Star Starters
LeBron James (Captain)
Stephen Curry
Luka Doncic
Zion Williamson
Nikola Jokic
Giannis Antetokunmpo will serve as the captain in the East and LeBron James will represent the West. While the NBA will have the two captains draft their respective rosters for the fifth-consecutive season, they have slightly changed the format. The NBA announced earlier this week that the All-Star draft will now occur live just moments before tip-off on Feb. 19.
Of course, Antetokounmpo and James will have the above players to pick from, but they will also have a larger pool of reserves. Those other players will be decided by the coaches around the NBA and formally announced on Feb. 2
