Oh, Boy: Pippen, Grant, and Longley Started What They Call the “No Bull” Tour

Some former Chicago Bulls legends have teamed up for a new speaking tour, but you’ll have to travel roughly 23 hours to see it.

In coordination with the National Basketball League (NBL) in Australia, Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant, and Luc Longley have announced a new multi-city event that will begin on Feb. 23. The three champions will share their own experiences from the team’s iconic 90s run in Tasmania, Melbourne, and Sydney. Titled the “No Bull Tour,” the outspoken Horace Grant set the tone well for what those in attendance will experience:

“Believe me, I speak my mind. This is going to be a no bulls*** tour,” Grant said in a video released by the NBL. “I’ll tell you this – the X factor in the first three and the second three, I would have kicked Dennis Rodman’s a**. Come out, get the tickets, and you’ll hear a lot.”

On the surface, I have to imagine this will be a pretty entertaining affair. Each of these players will surely have some remarkable stories to tell. Not to mention, it undoubtedly pulls on the nostalgia strings to see all three of them together – even if Grant and Longley only shared a locker room for a handful of games.

Scottie Pippen of the Chicago Bulls and Phil Jackson

If we dig a little bit deeper, however, it’s hard not to think this event isn’t at least somewhat of a middle finger to The Last Dance. Pippen has been particularly outspoken about his disdain for the documentary ever since its release. And I have to imagine he’ll continue to push that agenda to some packed arenas overseas.

Even the name of the tour itself implies that there was some “bulls***” spewed in the past. Heck, the fact it’s also being held over 9,800 miles away is also a bit of a head-scratcher. Would they ever consider bringing this tour to the Chicagoland area?

Anyway, I hope this isn’t just another awkward bash-fest about that 90s dynasty. I completely agree that many others from that era deserve to be celebrated, but can they all do it in a cordial fashion? I guess we’ll find out.
