Last time these two played it was the Nikola Vucevic show. Washington at the time was pretty depleted in terms of their bigs, and that’s the same tonight and even more so with Kyle Kuzma out. Vooch had 29 and 13 when these two met earlier this month, and it should be another opportunity for him to have a big night. The Bulls starting center didn’t have his best night against Boston on Saturday and only grabbed two boards in the 124-113 loss. Tonight presents an opportunity for a bounce-back effort.
Ayo Dosunmu dropped a career-high (that record only lasted two games) 34 points against Washington when these two last met. He’s been on a roll offensively as of late too. Eli did a write-up on just exactly how impressive he’s been, but tonight should present another opportunity for Ayo to have a big night. With Coby getting more acclimated as well after returning from the hip injury, a big night from him would be nice to see.
Washington doesn’t do much of anything well, but over their last three games, the Wizards have the best opponent three-point percentage holding teams to just 28.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc. With the Bulls being hot and cold from three, tonight could present a solid test for them against a team they should still beat either way.
