Coby White is now well-represented in the Chicago Bulls’ history books.
Sinking his second 3-pointer of the night against the New York Knicks on Tuesday, White officially broke the franchise’s single-season record for made 3s. White is now at 205 and counting with three more regular season games to go. The previous record was held by Zach LaVine, who had 204 made 3s in 2022-23.
For what it’s worth, LaVine also claimed the three other seasons with the highest number of 3-pointers made. The modern era obviously plays a big role in the fact that we’ve seen this franchise record consistently topped in recent years. Still, we all know how talented of a scorer LaVine is, so White now claiming the No. 1 spot is worthy of a round of applause.
The 23-year-old guard also broke the record in style! With just a second left before halftime against the Knicks, White stole the inbound and rose for the off-balance look.

White has struggled to look like the same player since he returned from a hip injury a couple of weeks ago. But there is still no denying this has been a year worthy of the Most Improved Player Award. White has shot 37.9 percent from long range on a career-high 7.1 attempts per game.
His most impressive stretch came between December and January when White shot over 42.0 percent from long range on 8.0 attempts over a 21-game stretch. Coby White sat top 8 in total 3s made this season heading into February.
