A ho hum minor league deal to the Cubs, the acquisition of Jason Dubois could actually mean something to the Mets, constantly reeling from injuries (not unlike the Cubs, actually).
The Mets acquired outfielder Jason Dubois from the Cubs, where had been playing with Triple-A Iowa. Dubois, 29, appeared in 86 games from 2004-05 with the Cubs and Indians. He hit .233 with 10 homers and 29 RBI in 210 at-bats. New York Daily News.
No word yet on the return, but it’s likely to be cash or minor league filler.
