Because it is unabashed fan service, the Home Run Derby is annually one of my favorite events. And it seems like it’s a been a long time since a Cubs player was involved. So, yeah, I’m pretty excited about this.
I also don’t really buy into the added risk of injury or swing issues from the Derby, so unless someone has some data to show why it’s a bad idea, I’m 100% into this, and will be watching with excitement next Monday.
