Jon Lester was great through six innings in this one, but back-to-back-to-back-to-back hits (the first three of which came with two strikes in pitcher’s counts) ended his night, and gave the Dodgers a lead they would not relinquish.
That part certainly stunk, but the bigger issue for the Cubs was this, which was really the story of the game again and again:
