Well, there wasn’t literally only one team in action yesterday. What would that even look like?
The Cubs were off yesterday, as were the Cardinals and Pirates, so there’s no update there. The Cardinals head to Milwaukee to start a three-game set against the Brewers today, and the Cubs and Pirates start their four-game set with a doubleheader today. More on that in today’s Series Preview.
As for Giants, they were at home, beating the Reds last night. The win brought them to within 7.0 games of the second Wild Card spot, the closest they’ve been in a while, though the season is getting late. They’re now closer to the Cubs than they are to the Dodgers in the NL West.
