Another Brewers “sell” trade to share this offseason:
The A’s have acquired OF Khris Davis from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for RHP Bubby Derby and C Jacob Nottingham.

As near as I can tell, the Brewers now consist of Ryan Braun, Jonathan Lucroy, Matt Garza, and the empty void of space. And that’s exactly as they want it.
Davis, 28, is still cheap and is productive with the bat – he hit .247/.323/.505 last year, and has a career 119 wRC+ – but isn’t much with the glove. Sounds like a perfect fit for the A’s.
In return, the Brewers get a very good catching prospect in Jacob Nottingham, and a very good name in Bubba Derby. As importantly, they rid themselves of the pesky 2-ish WAR that Davis was going to be good for.
