Not all baseball broadcasters and announcers were created equally. Some have impressive MLB resumes, others weren’t great players, but have always had the knowledge, and still others just have nice jaw-lines and steady voices.
Whichever category you’d lump former pitcher Dan Plesac in is up to you, but you’d have to – at least – give him some serious credit for the following call.
With Daniel Murphy at the plate against his former team in the bottom of the 10th inning, the Mets held a 4-3 lead with two outs and a 1-2 count. It took just three pitches (from there) to get Murphy to strikeout and Dan Plesac correctly predicted every one of them live on MLB Tonight.

He’s not the most humble winner, but Plesac was absolutely right. Despite the disagreement from his cohosts, he correctly predicted the type and location of the final three pitches in the game, and that’s pretty freakin’ cool.
