Tonight, the Chicago Cubs will play their first World Series game at Wrigley Field in over 70 years.
They’re taking on Josh Tomlin and the Indians in Game 3, and here is the lineup to kick things off.
Chicago Cubs Lineup v. Cleveland Indians (Josh Tomlin):
- Dexter Fowler, CF

Okay, then. Against the fly-ball likely, home run allowing, reverse-split righty Josh Tomlin, Joe Maddon has elected to start Jorge Soler in right field over a number of other options (Jason Heyward, Chris Coghlan, etc.). If Soler can elevate a ball or two, he has a great chance of making Maddon look like a genius.
Otherwise, the lineup is fairly normal. Javy Baez and Addison Russell stay up the middle, but down at the bottom of the order. Ben Zobrist sticks in left, and Willson Contreras catches once again. If the wind is blowing out like it’s supposed to, you might see a couple of long balls (from either side!) tonight.
We’ll have a full Pre-Gamin’ for you closer to game time.
