Last night was the premier of the official 2016 World Series film, the documentary that recounts one of the best World Series in baseball history, including perhaps the best single game in the history of the sport (that would be Game Seven, if you somehow blacked out – couldn’t blame you). It is narrated by Cubs fan Vince Vaughn, and it looks incredible.
Here’s the yup-gonna-give-you-chills trailer for the film, which is available now for pre-order:

That’s just a taste, but you can already see how many iconic images there will be from this series. For me, the most lasting will probably be Ben Zobrist’s unbridled and exuberant leap into second base when he doubled to give the Cubs the lead in the 10th inning of Game Seven, followed by Anthony Rizzo’s look of utter shock at third base. In that moment, they were all of us: screaming in joy, and then instantly thinking, “Oh my God, is this really happening?”
To unveil the film, the Cubs held a premier event last night, including an introduction from team owner and chairman Tom Ricketts:

The film will air for the rest of the world next Friday December 2 at 6pm CT on FoxSports1.
Until then, you can pre-order the Blu-Ray or DVD here.
