Japanese baseball player, Chicago Cubs infielder, World Series Champion Munenori Kawasaki is one of baseball’s biggest personalities.
Of course, most fans have probably never even heard of him.
So here’s the 30-second low-down on Kawasaki: He came over to the States from Japan back in 2012. As a 31-year-old utility infielder, Kawasaki never caught on as much of a starter, but he has played in just under 300 games during his career. But given the amount of attention, love, and adoration by the players and fans of the teams he’s been on (Blue Jays and Cubs in particular), you’d think this guy was the greatest player to ever step on the field.
