The Cubs are playing their final game of the Spring, and that means the regular season is RIGHT AROUND THE FREAKIN’ CORNER.
Sorry, I got a little excited there.
Here’s the Cubs’ final not-quite-real lineup:
- Kyle Schwarber, DH
- Kris Bryant, 3B
- Anthony Rizzo, 1B
- Ben Zobrist, 2B
- Addison Russell, SS
- Jason Heyward, RF

- Jon Jay, LF
Starting Pitcher: Kyle Hendricks

So it’s mostly regulars today, but I suppose that really depends on your position of who is a regular or not. Javy Baez and Willson Contreras are notable absences, but given how much we know Baez will move around this year, that’s not much of a surprise. Additionally, we know that Montero is expected to draw more starts than a typical back-up, so this is all a fairly standard, regular season lineup (when there’s a DH allowed, that is).
We are almost there, friends. So get ready. Two more days.
And as usual, we’ll have your full Pre-Gamin’ closer to game time.
