Albert Amora and Javy Baez get back in there after a night off, with Addison Russell sliding up to the cleanup spot with Ben Zobrist sitting. No pressure, kid. Just do your thing.
The Cubs face lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu today, who has thrown just 9.1 innings in the majors since 2014. For his career (mostly just the two good seasons in 2013 and 2014), he actually fared better against righties than lefties, for what it’s worth. But missing so much time with injuries, it’s hard to say he’s even the same pitcher at this point.
As usual, we’ll have your full Pre-Gamin’ closer to the 1:20pm CT game time.
