Miguel Sanó Pretty Much Just Destroyed a Baseball for a Monster Two-Run Home Run

In the bottom of the third inning earlier tonight, Twins third baseman Miguel Sanó hit a baseball that looked like it would never land.

Turns out it did land … over the batters eye in center field:

That home run was Sanó’s 8th of the season and first hit of the night. He’s now hitting .321/.444/.716 on the season with a 218 wRC+ which ranks fifth in MLB. His eight homers are tied for seventh most with Scott Schebler, Joey Votto, Adam Duvall, and Mark Reynolds.

And just in case you didn’t think that homer was as crushed as it was, check out the batted ball data:

111 MPH off the bat and a 30 degree launch angle created one of the 30th furthest home runs here in 2017. That boy is on fire.

Brewers Keep Winning, Cubs Bullpen Turning Way Up (But They Still Need a Closer), and Other Cubs Bullets

The Brewers are so annoying. Even though the Cubs (16-9) are seven games over .500 and winners in 9 of their last 12 games, including a three-game sweep of the Astros, there's Milwaukee (16-8) ... just quietly sitting there a...

More Fun with Pete Crow-Armstrong’s First-Hit Home Run

It is CORRECT to say that an 0-fer to start a player's big league career, even a long 0-fer, does not alone represent who that player is. Young players are going to have adjustment periods. Also hitless stretches happen for...
