We’ve already seen Javy Baez showing off his superlative defensive skills this spring, so you can’t even make the “it’s not Spring Training for Javy’s glove” joke.
Instead, you just watch and enjoy the magic he’s able to create, even when the games don’t “count” (via @Cubs):

Baez is so smooth and so quick that the play there doesn’t look half as impressive as it actually is. Very few second basemen are making that catch.
Heading into this season, I’m looking forward to more El Mago moments, but also Baez continuing his impressive streak of also making the routine plays routinely, as Joe Maddon would say.
