Today is the last Spring Training game before the regular season kicks off on Thursday, but we have – at least – one final excellent Spring Training moment to share.
In the top of the third inning, Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts was mic’d up in right field, talking to the ESPN crew about bowling and golfing (and other general topics) during the game. It’s a pretty cool idea we’ve seen a bit more during exhibition games lately, and something that I hope continues.
But with two outs and Kris Bryant at the plate, the fun really began. That’s when Bryant lifted a triple over Betts’ head in right and he let the ESPN crew know that he was not going to be catching that ball:

“I ain’t getting to this one, boys!”
Awesome.
