Well, gross.
Like the title plainly states, last night’s Dodgers/Angels Spring Training finale was called early when a mysterious liquid started bubbling up onto the field.
At first, the grounds crew tried to make it work, by spreading the liquid around and adding some additional sand, but that didn’t quite work:
And it’s a good thing it didn’t.
Because while the mysterious liquid was originally believed to be water, a more accurate description would be that some of it was water … at some point.
Indeed, according to Alex Curry, that “water” was actually a burst sewage pipe (hey, who knows, maybe it was the pipe on it’s way in!) bubbling onto the field.
Naturally, the game was called and Spring Training for both teams in Los Angeles came to an unceremonious end.
