The Cubs got off to another hot start today against the White Sox, scoring four in the first inning, capped by a two-out RBI single by David Bote.
The big blow was yet ANOTHER Anthony Rizzo homer – his fifth in the month of May already. Here’s the shot:

That was 106.6 mph off the bat on a low, low line drive rocket homer to left center. Coming off of Rizzo’s bat, that’s a fun one, because he doesn’t hit that kind of homer too often. James Shields’ reaction was lovely.
For a guy whose results were among the worst in all of baseball just a week ago, it’s pretty incredible to see that Rizzo is now hitting .220/.301/.404 with a 93 wRC+.
