Last night, the Cubs were offering up the gift of free bases and free runs on repeat, so it was only fair for the Brewers to repay the favor a little tonight. And when it comes with a bonus side of Javy Baez doing El Mago things, all the better.
Making something out of nothing.

Oh my. So there you’ve got Javy Baez aggressively trying to first to third and a decent throw would have had a play on him (but beware the swim move on a slide even if the throw beats him). But the throw sails, so Baez is safe and then decides to try for home. But then the ball kicks right NEXT to Baez, and he still manages to outrun the defender and score. ‘
Then, just for good measure, the Brewers throw the ball away when they otherwise had Anthony Rizzo dead to rights in a rundown between second and third.
