Grainy Batting Cage Video SZN: Kris Bryant is Back to His Old Swing

Chicago Cubs

Although it may now be unreasonable to hold out hope for a Bryce Harper signing to ignite the Cubs’ offense in 2019 (still gonna do it, though), it is not at all unreasonable to hold out hope for a serious Kris Bryant bounce back to ignite the Cubs’ offense in 2019.

To that end, something nice to share on Bryant’s shoulder recovery, as he is hitting in the cages – right around the time he starts each year – and he’s back to his old high-finish swing:

You may recall that, because of the injury to his shoulder in May of last year, Bryant began tinkering with his swing a bit to take stress off that shoulder – including eventually trying out a two-handed finish, which did not take. But, thanks to GRAINY BATTING CAGE VIDEO SZN, we can see that it sure looks like that’s Bryant’s old, beautiful, distinctive swing.
