The Cubs got a HUGE win against Max Scherzer and the Nationals last night, giving themselves two chances to win the weekend series in D.C.
Their first chance, tonight at 6:15 CT, is the tougher of the two, as the Cubs will take on another righty, Stephen Strasburg, in his home ballpark. Although Scherzer is the tougher of the two pitchers, Strasburg has been very good throughout his career/this season and doesn’t have the extreme favorable (to lefties) lefty/righty splits that Scherzer offers.
Hopefully, the Cubs offense can manage to push across just enough runs for Jon Lester to keep them in the ball game and win the series.
Go Cubs.
