That’s the amount by which the Chicago Cubs are now back in first place in the NL Central after a couple wins in a row, and after the Brewers got shutout by the Marlins(?) by two touchdowns and two extra points. That is a real thing that happened last night.
So the Cubs are back into first place, tied if you go back the whole “games back” thing, but because they’ve played two fewer games, being seven over .500 is just a little better for them than the Brewers:
Last night’s win was closed out by a returned Pedro Strop, and it was so good to see him back (and to see Javy Baez showing off his rocket arm at shortstop).
