Here we are: The final day of the 2019-2020 Winter Meetings.
The Cubs haven’t actually made a move yet, but there has been plenty to discuss, including the dramatic rise of the Kris Bryant saga, the meeting with free agent outfielder Shogo Akiyama (more on that later), and the disappointment of missing out on affordable free agents like Didi Gregorius, Blake Treinen, and Josh Lindblom.

The Houston Astros have inquired about Austin Barnes, per source. They're looking for catchers with Robinson Chirinos and Martin Maldonado hitting free agency. Barnes has struggled at the plate the last two years, but the Astros are high on his framing.

Brett Gardner and the Yankees have agreed on a one year deal for $12.5 million. There is an option for a second year that is worth $20 million.
