I should have known this was coming. Out of my routine for weeks, sitting and working in different chairs/places, totally different exercise plan. I should have thought ahead, but it had been almost three years since it happened, so I just didn’t think about it. This morning, I tweaked my back. And it sucks. Even typing right now is a pain in the ass (that is *almost* a literal statement).
At least, having been through this before, I know enough to know what I need to do: immediately immobilize as much as possible, work in some light walking and rolling out my gluts and hamstrings this afternoon, and then make sure to sleep the whole night in a more or less perfect posture (on back, pillow under knees). In theory, if I can pull all of that off, I might be close to OK sometime tomorrow. I’ve had super fast recoveries like that before. But if I mess the process up, even a little, I’ve had times when this lingers for a week or more.
Consideration will be given to staggered start (start in some places delayed) or moved games depending on hot spots/local orders. At moment 1 obvious hot spot is NYC. As an example early games could be moved to Florida — to spring sites, Trop/Marlins Park. Everything on table.

No more roster moves. When the MLB and MLBPA deal is ratified by MLB owners as expected tomorrow, a transaction freeze will be in place, source says. Sides will agree when it is lifted.
