How about some emotion this morning on Opening Day? For reasons you didn’t at all expect?
The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation does so much for kids and families dealing with pediatric cancer, and the pandemic has been a particular tough time for that work to continue in the way Rizzo has no doubt been used to. But it has continued nonetheless, and today he revealed that many of those kids sent signs for all the Cubs players on Opening Day.
You need to go to Rizzo’s Instagram Story to see the full collection. It’s worth it. The signs should be out in the outfield bleachers for tonight’s game, too. Just so awesome.
