I’m sure it’s true in other sports, too, but it just feels like baseball is uniquely associated with bizarre, off-field injuries. From Yoenis Cespedes’s run-in with a wild boar to Clint Barmes breaking his collar bone while loading up some venison, I’m sure everyone has a weird injury that comes to mind. Heck, with the Cubs, alone, Sammy Sosa’s sneeze, Carlos Zambrano’s computer, and Brandon Morrow’s pants all immediately leap into my head.
So, anyway, another one to add to the list of bizarre injury causes: taking off a shirt too aggressively. The Cleveland Indians have lost starter Zach Plesac for a while:
How did it happen? Tito said Plesac was "rather aggressively ripping off his shirt" and got it caught on a chair at his locker.

Plesac, 26, has been a solid starter for the Indians for a few years now, so it’ll sting to be without him for a stretch of time.
Now we all know: be careful with your level of aggression when removing a shirt. Shoulda just tore the shirt off clean in the front, my dude.
