Joc Pederson Just Put One into McCovey Cove
I mentioned it before the game: Joc Pederson was probably dying to get in there against Giants starter Anthony DeSclafani tonight, given their history (5-11, 3HRs, 2B before tonight). And sure enough, he came through with his fourth homer off DeSclafani in the third inning.

That was Pederson’s fifth homer of the season, and it was absolutely demolished at 110 MPH. With Eric Sogard already on base, that gave the Cubs the lead.
