Joey Votto Had One Thing to Say to the “Sh** Talking Mother F***ers” in St. Louis … “How’d You Like That?”
On the field, Joey Votto may be well past his prime, but off the field, he’s still the same old free spirited heel he’s always been. And I genuinely adore him for it. I love his brand of competitiveness – even when it’s been directed toward the Cubs – because you can always tell that, for him, it’s all in the spirit of the game. In the spirit of competitiveness and fun. He trolls fans. He speaks his mind. He says things others won’t, but not in that annoying way a certain former Reds pitcher would/does. And when it’s directed at someone or some team I already dislike? Well, all the better.
So with all that in mind, check out what Joey Votto had to say to the Cardinals after the Reds delivered a four-game sweep *in St. Louis* over the weekend:

In case you can’t watch:
“We had some sh** talking mother f***ers” in St. Louis after the first series sweep. And it’s kinda nice to go on the road at [their] ballpark and let ’em have it. We had some people sweeping brooms and sh** like that while we were leaving. So, how’d you like that? How’d you like that?”
The Reds outscored the Cardinals 23-15 from Thursday to Sunday, extending their losing streak to five games while pushing them to 2.5 games out of first place in the NL Central.
Joey Votto was on the injured list and didn’t even play.
