J.D put it great on the broadcast: Willson Contreras is having some kind of night, right?
He’s calling a great game behind the plate, he hit a home run, and he picked someone off first base. To be more specific, he hit a homer off Walker Buehler (no small feat) and picked off one of the best players in the game, Mookie Betts. I mean, that’s gotta feel good.

Heck of a back-pick throw by Willson Contreras to get Betts at 1B and a nice play by Rizzo on the back end.
Contreras made it look easy, but he didn't have a clear path on the throw, having to work around Muncy in the left side of the batter's box.

He’s been building a case to be the NL All-star at catcher all season – let’s see if he can bring it home.
