Jorge Soler Led Off the 2021 World Series With a Laser Shot Home Run

Chicago Cubs

Ah, old friends. It’s nice to see them doing well this postseason. And it didn’t take long for the World Series to get some former Cub involvement.

Jorge Soler led off the game with a rocket shot to left field, up into the Crawford Boxes:

That is the first time a player has led off the whole World Series with a homer. (Cubs fans will of course note that it is NOT the first time a player has led off a World Series GAME with a homer. Shouts to Dexter Fowler.)
