On the one hand, I get the urge to troll a star player who is just arriving on your rival. If you’re not a total dick about it, there’s fun to be had there, especially if that star player is into interacting on social media.
But on the other hand, you better be REALLY good at it if you’re gonna come at Marcus Stroman, who dominates the medium when he’s not on the mound. That is all to say, I really don’t think Stroman was bothered by this stuff (and I looked at his mentions – my God, he gets an absurd amount of crap thrown at him):
How miserable is your life that you come on here and use all 140 of your characters to project your insecurities on others? Lmao 😂 I guarantee the energy you choose to spend on hate/negativity can be directed towards better areas in your life. But hey, that’s just me! Lol 🗣🤷🏾♂️ https://t.co/tSoGATIgT8

I like to imagine that Stroman is replying to these tweets while in one of his handstands, taking calming breaths, and generally being in touch with the world. Chuckling, too.
Also? Stroman went 5.0 IP, 2 ER, 6 K, 1 BB in the referenced start, so is that really all that bad?
A ding-dong Brewers fan also tried to get in on it, but again, Stroman is unmoved:
I agree. He is right now. He’s one of my favorites.
